Space for Mama.

Rediscover You & Navigate Your Career Through Motherhood.
6-Month Group Coaching Programme for Mothers.

Welcome to Space for Mama.

This programme is all about navigating your career through motherhood and rediscovering your sense of self, whilst making sure you feel supported through wellbeing and community.

Becoming a mother can be all-consuming and creating a balanced life that integrates work, personal passions, wellbeing, family life and motherhood is a huge challenge. Since becoming a mother, I have thought a lot about the creation of my new integrated life. I looked for a coaching programme that would support me, but I did not find what I was looking for. I realised there was a gap in the market and so the idea for this group coaching programme was born.

When I became a mother I changed. Not only did I grow a baby, I also grew the mother I would become. Most mothers take a step back from work for varying amounts of time and during this time there is often a huge re-evaluation of values, lifestyle and sense of self. Becoming a mother changed my whole perspective on life. In the beginning, I found myself grieving my old self, whilst redefining and celebrating the new me. The new me, the mother, had a lot of questions. Who am I now? What are my priorities? What type of mum do I want to be? How do I want to live my life? How much do I want to work? What balance will provide me with financial stability and work fulfilment? What’s the best for my family? What support options do I have? Just to state a few.

From working with many mothers over the years I am aware there are forces at play in the workplace that make things hard for us. There’s the motherhood penalty, lack of flexible working options, the gender pay gap and gender imbalance. Along with a lack of part-time work, the high cost of childcare and much more. Workplaces don’t always support the working mother. I don’t claim to be able to solve these issues personally, however, you do have options and I want to support you to navigate your career and discover the possibilities available to you with the confidence to go for what you want. I also know that if you are spending time and energy away from your child/children, you’ll want to do passionate work that uplifts you and is fulfilling.

Have you found yourself wanting to make a change? You may want to shift careers completely, make changes to your existing role or seek an opportunity with favourable options like flexible working or values that support you. You may want to start a project with the view to becoming self-employed or evolve your existing business. Maybe you’re a full-time mum but want to find time for a passion project with the view of turning it into a business in the future.

My role as a mother is my priority and I know it’s yours too. Although there are many societal issues at play, I believe with the right balance and integration, we can have fulfilling careers that work for us and our family life.

Who is this coaching programme for?

This programme is for mothers who want to invest in themselves so they can be and feel their best selves. You might be a new first-time mum, maybe your child/children are now in school or are teenagers. If this programme resonates with you and where you are, this programme is for you.

You want space:

  • to examine what you want from your career, whether you are currently a full-time mum, employed or self-employed, and how that integrates with your role as a mother.

  • to rediscover and connect with your authentic self and to trust yourself deeply.

  • for your wellbeing. You want to keep your cup full so you can be the best version of yourself.

  • to connect with other mums and feel supported.

What will I gain?

You will:

  • reconnect with your authentic self, rediscover who you are and what you want from life.

  • gain clarity and make some big decisions when it comes to your career and passions, along with the confidence to go for what you want.

  • have a routine that energises and uplifts you. We’ll assess what is going on in your life now, identify areas for change and create a balance that works for you and your family. We’ll consider what boundaries you want to have in place and what support you have available to you.

  • have empowering beliefs and behaviours that will support you on your journey.

  • have an intimate support network and create lasting friendships.
